Figure Skate Blade Mounting in Tampere

Properly mounted blades are essential for skate performance, control and balance.

Have you purchased new figure skating boots and blades? Or would you like to replace your old blades or transfer them to another pair of boots? Golden Skate is here to help!

We have been providing professional figure skate servicing in Tampere since 2005. We mount blades on both new and used boots and work with blades and boots from different manufacturers, provided the combination is compatible.

What Does Figure Skate Blade Mounting Involve?

Figure skate blade mounting is a precision service in which the blades are carefully positioned and secured to the soles of the boots. Correct positioning and alignment affect how your skates perform on the ice.

It is much more than simply attaching screws. The process requires careful attention to detail, taking into account the characteristics of the boots and blades, as well as the individual skater’s needs.

How Are Blades Mounted?

• Careful craftsmanship: We mount blades by hand in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines, taking the construction of both the boots and blades into account.
• Individual requirements: Wherever possible, we consider the positioning preferences of experienced skaters and coaches.
• Secure mounting: We ensure that the blades are carefully and properly secured.

Why Is Correct Blade Mounting Important?

Blade positioning and mounting can affect several aspects of skate performance:

• Skate control and balance
• Edge control and glide
• The execution of jumps, spins and turns
• Skating comfort and the durability of the mounting

If a blade is not positioned appropriately for the skater, the skate may feel as though it pulls to one side. Finding the correct edge may become difficult, or maintaining balance may require additional effort.

Correct blade mounting helps you get the most out of your equipment.

When Do You Need Blade Mounting?

Our blade mounting service is suitable when you:

• Purchase new boots and blades separately.
• Want to replace your blades.
• Need to transfer existing blades to new boots.
• Want to mount used blades on used or different boots.

We mount blades from different manufacturers on boots from different manufacturers, provided the combination is technically compatible.
